Bacterial culture for the intestinal group is a study that is performed to diagnose acute intestinal diseases, as well as to detect hidden carriers of pathogenic intestinal bacteria.

How to prepare for the analysis?

There is no special preparation for a stool analysis. A sterile container is used to collect stool, which can be purchased at a pharmacy or Mamin Dom polyclinic. You can also use any sterile container.
At home, feces are collected in the amount of 1 teaspoon after a natural bowel movement. It is strictly forbidden to use an enema to collect feces. Avoid getting urine and genital discharge into the feces.<br>
14 days before taking a stool analysis, you should stop taking antibacterial drugs, stop using rectal suppositories, and stop using laxatives.
After collecting feces, the material must be delivered to the laboratory within 2 hours (strictly). Freezing and long-term storage of feces is not allowed, a tightly closed container is required. Biomaterial collected the day before is not subject to examination.
