How to prepare for the analysis?
It is recommended to test the level of hemoglobin in the blood in the morning, preferably on an empty stomach (it is not recommended to eat 6-8 hours before the test). As an exception, the child can be given water to drink. Before the analysis, you should get a good night's sleep, physical exertion is prohibited. For glycosylated hemoglobin, blood is taken from a vein, for a hemoglobin test, blood can be taken from a finger. If the child has a fear of blood, dizziness occurs, it is necessary to notify the medical staff. It is contraindicated to carry out the analysis during a stressful situation, a moment of severe fatigue. Against the background of the inflammatory process in the body, the result of the hemoglobin test may be temporarily distorted.
