The vaccine is recommended to be administered once in a dose of 0.5 ml. The vaccine is intended for deep intramuscular administration:

  • In the front part of the thigh in smaller children;
  • In the area of the deltoid muscle in older children.

Intravenous administration is categorically contraindicated. After vaccination, it is recommended:

  • Quiet mode;
  • Measure body temperature;
  • Observe the child's behavior.

Before vaccination, it is recommended to examine the child and exclude contact with SARS patients.

Patients should be under medical supervision for 30 minutes after administration of the vaccine.

  • What are the indications for Infanrix vaccine?

    The combined vaccine for the prevention of diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis is used in children aged 2 months and older.

  • What are the contraindications to the Infanrix vaccine?

    Hypersensitivity to any component of the vaccine, severe complications that occurred after previous doses of this vaccine, children suffering from epilepsy and encephalopathy.

  • What are the side effects of the Infanrix vaccine?

    After vaccination can be observed:

    • Irritability and / or drowsiness;
    • Loss of appetite;
    • Increase in temperature;
    • Redness;
    • Pain and/or swelling at the injection site;
    • Diarrhea, rash, etc. are possible.

    In the presence of mechanical inclusions or a solution with a strange color, the use of the vaccine is unacceptable.
