Use of Nimenrix vaccine


Immunization should be performed only by intramuscular injection.

In infants, the recommended injection site is the anterolateral thigh. In persons older than 1 year, the recommended injection site is the anterolateral part of the thigh or the deltoid muscle.

  • What are the indications for Nimenrix vaccine?

    Nimenrix® vaccine is indicated for active immunization of individuals 6 weeks of age and older against invasive meningococcal disease caused by Neisseria meningitidis serogroups A, C, W-135, and Y.

  • What are the contraindications to Nimenrix vaccine?

    Hypersensitivity to active substances or any excipients included in the vaccine

  • What are the side effects of Nimenrix vaccine?

    Side effects:

    • loss of appetite;
    • insomnia;
    • irritability;
    • headache;
    • drowsiness;
    • dyspeptic disorders;
    • temperature increase;
    • swelling and soreness at the injection site.

    Rarely can be observed:

    • reduced sensitivity to external stimuli;
    • itch;
    • rash;
    • muscle pain;
    • consolidation;
    • feeling of heat at the injection site.
